Roskomnadzor denied that the website YaPlakal was added to the banned registry

TASS reports this, citing a statement by the agency.

It said that the court did not specify in its ruling which exact materials were deemed prohibited, so the entertainment portal could not have been added to the registry of banned websites.

🔵Earlier, it was reported that Moscow’s Chertanovsky District Court had banned YaPlakal on the territory of the Russian Federation.

🔵The district prosecutor’s office demanded that the portal be banned after its staff conducted an inspection of compliance with legislation in the sphere of interethnic relations.

🔵The prosecutor’s office concluded that materials on the YaPlakal portal and two other joke websites contain “statements that can be classified as degrading human dignity, as well as aimed at discrimination and insulting persons on the basis of nationality and race.”
