Foreign nationals may be deported from Russia for protests, “discrediting” the army, and “abusing media freedom”

The corresponding bill has been recommended for passage in its first reading by the State Duma committee on state-building and legislation, TASS writes.

🔹Foreign citizens are planned to be deported for participating in unauthorized rallies, “discrediting” the army, calling for sanctions pressure on Russia and its citizens, as well as for public calls for actions that violate the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation.

🔹Administrative deportation will await foreigners for violating the requirements of a state of emergency, a counterterrorism operation regime, or martial law, for shooting in prohibited places, creating obstacles to traffic, disobeying law enforcement agencies, and petty hooliganism.

🔹It is also proposed to deport migrants for offenses related to extremism and “destructive information.”

In particular, this punishment will be предусмотрено for inciting hatred or enmity, promoting extremist or Nazi symbols, producing and distributing extremist materials, and “for abusing media freedom to spread dangerous information.”
