A court in Poland sentenced former Open Russia coordinator Igor Rogov to seven years in prison
Igor Rogov was sentenced to seven years in a penal colony in a case over cooperation with the FSB, and his wife Irina to three years in a penal colony, outlet Vot Tak reports.
Rogov was found guilty of espionage and involvement in sending a parcel with an explosive device; his wife was found guilty of aiding and abetting and incitement to espionage.
🔵Spouses Igor and Irina Rogov were granted political asylum in Poland in 2022. Polish security forces arrested Rogov in the summer of 2024, accusing him of preparing an explosion. Later, a court in Poland also arrested the activist's wife.
During the investigation, Rogov himself spoke about his work for the FSB; according to him, he began cooperating with the security services while still in Russia.
