Vladimir Putin is rejecting proposals for peace talks with Ukraine and is likely to escalate the conflict, three sources close to the Kremlin told Reuters.
One of the agency’s sources, who meets regularly with the Russian president, said there is a “high probability” of escalation in the coming months. Another said that the Russian president has taken an “uncompromising position” on the issue of conquering the remaining part of Donetsk region.
