Volodymyr Zelensky met with Donald Trump the day before during the NATO summit in Ankara. The main outcome of the meeting was Trump’s statement that he will give Ukraine a license to produce missiles for Patriot systems.


However, as experts note, this is more an act of political support than a guarantee of quickly receiving military aid. In order to launch serial production of Patriot in Ukraine, it will most likely take several years.
