Russia and China discussed projects to destroy Starlink satellites and develop a joint air defense system
This is stated in an investigation by The Insider, Der Spiegel, and Le Monde.
Journalists obtained documents related to Russian-Chinese military cooperation.
The documents show that at a forum on military-technical cooperation in Guangzhou in November 2023, China proposed that its Russian partners counter Elon Musk's Starlink satellites by various methods, from legal ones to outright destruction.
Shortly before that, the two sides agreed to develop an integrated next-generation air and missile defense system. It is intended to intercept ballistic missiles, maneuvering warheads, and hypersonic missiles in the terminal phase of flight. What stage the development is at is unknown.
