A treason case was opened over sending paid “stars” on Telegram
The FSB has opened cases under articles on financing terrorism and treason for transferring Telegram Stars virtual currency “to prohibited organizations,” the Prison Lawyer channel reports.
According to information from Mediazona, these are cases in which “stars” were sent to the channels of the Russian Volunteer Corps and the Freedom of Russia Legion.
In the treason case, it concerns a donation made in 2025. The proceedings themselves began in 2026.
