Dmitry Muratov appealed to the Investigative Committee over calls for nuclear war by Medvedev and Kadyrov

Nobel Peace Prize laureate and former editor-in-chief of Novaya Gazeta Dmitry Muratov filed a request with the Investigative Committee to review statements by "a number of officials and media figures." This was reported by Novaya Gazeta.

The reason for the appeal was public statements "containing calls to use nuclear weapons against Ukraine, or indications that their use against foreign states is permissible."

Muratov’s statement specifically lists remarks by Dmitry Medvedev, Ramzan Kadyrov, and Konstantin Malofeyev.

Muratov believes that statements about using nuclear weapons contradict human morality and Russia’s nuclear doctrine, and he asks for the people he named to be checked for violating the article on "public calls to unleash an aggressive war."
