Deputy Prime Minister Novak on fuel: “We must admit that there are problems and there is a shortage”

The government has acknowledged a fuel shortage caused by strikes on oil refineries. Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said this.

We must admit that there are problems and there is a shortage, because of which we are seeing queues. Or sometimes gas stations operate unstably. The shortage is for understandable reasons, because our oil refineries are partially going out of service for repairs because of strikes,

he said.

Novak added that the authorities are “doing everything to strengthen the protection of our oil refineries.”

Earlier, the deputy prime minister had spoken only of a “temporary partial reduction in gasoline and diesel production volumes” because of attacks on oil refineries.
