Officials in Tomsk Region advised to hold more meetings online to save gasoline

The Tomsk Region government has advised officials to hold meetings online more often in order to save gasoline, RIA Tomsk writes.

Since late June, disruptions in gasoline supplies have been recorded in Tomsk Region. Some gas stations stopped operating because deliveries were halted, and multi-hour lines formed daily at chain stations.

When asked what measures the government had taken to reduce fuel consumption by official vehicles, the outlet received this response:

At present, officials have additionally been advised to plan official trips in greater detail and make broader use of remote formats of interaction (use the online format when holding meetings).

It also says that this measure will make it possible to save up to 15,000 liters of fuel per month, which are currently used by the cars of the governor, the government, the duma, and other state bodies of Tomsk Region.
