An orphan from the Pskov region said he was tricked into signing a military contract before coming of age — Mediazona

18-year-old Anton Filimonov, a resident of the settlement of Krasnogorodsk in the Pskov region, said he was deceptively persuaded to sign a military contract before he reached adulthood. Mediazona reports this.

According to him, six months ago he decided to withdraw from the Pskov Agrotechnical College. At the educational institution he encountered a man who persuaded the teenager to sign the contract, "promising service in absolutely safe conditions," the outlet writes.

He told me all about it, that it would be six months of training in St. Petersburg, and then you would only be in the Leningrad region, and after that you wouldn't go anywhere, to no front, to no war. Mediazona quotes Filimonov as saying.

On the young man's birthday, he was taken to the military enlistment office, where he underwent a medical examination and signed "some papers." According to Filimonov, the enlistment office staff convinced him that "there is no way back." He was told that within three months he would be sent on a "business trip."

Filimonov said he was allowed to go home with an order to report to the enlistment office on July 11 to begin service. According to the young man, he "really wants to challenge this somehow, so that I don't get sent there."
