The International Modern Pentathlon Union has lifted sanctions against Russians

This was announced by Russian Sports Minister Degtyarev. “Just yesterday the volleyball federation returned our teams to international competitions. Today, literally half an hour ago, the International Modern Pentathlon Union lifted all sanctions from Russian athletes, and this process will continue”

At the end of January, the UIPM Executive Board (the International Modern Pentathlon Union) decided to allow Russian athletes under 19 to compete in all tournaments under the organization’s auspices with the flag and anthem. Until that point, older Russian pentathletes had only been allowed to compete in neutral status.

Full Rights Return On Schedule

Sanctions are lifted after full rights were earlier limited to under-19 athletes.

Principles lasted until the next event.
