“For a Russia free from fear and political repression!” How the authorities are pressuring Yabloko ahead of the elections
From September 18 to 20, Russia will hold elections to the State Duma. The only party likely to openly oppose the war and political repression in these elections is Yabloko. Today, the Central Election Commission certified the party’s lists, excluding one candidate. Even so, the outcome of registration is still not settled: earlier, the commission reported deficiencies in the party’s documents, and pressure on its members began more than a year ago.
