Russia Halts Vessel Traffic Through the Azov-Don Canal and the Kerch Strait
Russia has halted vessel traffic through the Azov-Don Canal and the Kerch Strait
Reuters reports this, citing sources. It is unclear when the restrictions will be lifted.
The Azov-Don Canal connects the Don River with the Sea of Azov; the Kerch Strait connects the Sea of Azov with the Black Sea. Up to a quarter of Russia’s wheat exports pass along this route.
The day before, the head of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert Brovdi, said that over the past five days Ukrainian forces had attacked 48 Russian vessels, most of them tankers.
