Russia halted shipping on the Azov-Don Canal because of Ukrainian attacks. A quarter of wheat exports passes through it — Reuters
The agency was told this by three sources in the grain export industry.
The decision was made after Ukrainian drones attacked 13 Russian vessels in the Sea of Azov, ten of them tankers.
According to analysts surveyed by Reuters, up to a quarter of Russian wheat exports passes through the Sea of Azov. Russia is the world’s largest supplier of this grain.
One of the agency’s sources also said that Russian border services notified shipping companies that they were no longer accepting applications for passage through the Kerch Strait, which connects the Azov and Black seas.

Exports Stopped Along With Security
