Mayakovsky Readings case defendant Nikolai Daineko released from prison colony

This was reported by the support group for the political prisoners in the case.

"He still has eight years of administrative supervision ahead of him, which was imposed on him shortly before his release. Artyom (Kamardin — editor's note) and Yegor (Shtovba — editor's note) still have their sentences to serve, so please support the guys financially and with words of encouragement," they noted.

🔵The case against participants in the Mayakovsky Readings poetry event was opened on September 26, 2022. During the search, Kamardin was tortured and his fiancée was beaten, and then he was forced to apologize on camera.

🔵At the end of December 2023, the court handed down its sentence to the defendants: Kamardin was given 7 years in prison, Yegor Shtovba 5.5 years, and Nikolai Daineko four years.

🔵According to the prosecution, in his poems Kamardin urged people "not to take" draft notices from military enlistment office employees, "not to sign" documents acknowledging receipt of draft notices, and not to go to military enlistment offices. The poets were also accused of inciting hatred, humiliation, and calls for violence against the "volunteer armed formations of the LPR and DPR" over the phrase "Glory to Kyivan Rus, Novorossiya, suck it."
