A drunk man started speaking to police in a made-up language to avoid liability for a traffic crash

As the press service of the Main Directorate of the Russian Interior Ministry for Irkutsk Region writes, a participant in a multi-car crash in Tulun tried to pretend to be a foreign citizen in order to avoid responsibility for driving while intoxicated.

According to preliminary data, the 70-year-old driver of a VAZ 21063 failed to yield while turning to a Toyota Camry driven by a 44-year-old man. After the collision, the cars also struck two more parked vehicles. Two passengers sought medical assistance at a hospital.

The police who arrived noticed that the Camry driver was aggressive and drunk. When asked about the crash, he began speaking in a made-up language, pretending to be a foreigner. When his supply of invented words ran out, the man explained in Russian that he had indeed gotten wasted before the trip.

The examination showed that the alcohol level in his blood was six times over the limit. This driver had previously already been stripped of his license. A report for drunk driving was drawn up against him, and against the second participant for violating turning rules.
