The state, which by various estimates burned through billions of rubles on the “sovereign internet,” TSPU, and other technical censorship, has ultimately tested its way into a situation where, on the day of its own “victory parade,” it plans to knock out mobile service for half of its own population.

“White lists” will be opened: Gosuslugi, Sber, VK, MAX. A list of what the state has graciously allowed its citizens to see on the internet.

And this regime is already being rolled out to home internet. The Ministry of Digital Development itself admits that ordinary VPN services do not work under this regime.

But there is a service built differently. Skip VPN is invisible to the operator; it looks like an ordinary browser visit. It bypasses white lists, and blocking such a scheme would only be possible together with Yandex.
