Mobile operators have not been warning about disruptions to mobile internet service for just one day. A shutdown has been announced in at least 21 regions of Russia: Sber, T-Bank, Yandex.Taxi, MTS, and Tele2 may not work.

For the first time since 2007, there will also be no military hardware at the Victory Day parade. Against the backdrop of drone attacks, the country’s leadership is panicking: employees have been banned from using smartphones, and the top leadership is under surveillance.

"Verstka" spoke with political analyst Dmitry Oreshkin about why holding the parade has become a problem for the authorities and how to live under conditions of a communications shutdown.
