This happened after a drone struck the administrative building of a branch of the company Aeronavigatsiya Yuga Rossii.
Takeoffs and landings have been suspended in Sochi, Volgograd, Krasnodar, Grozny, Astrakhan, Vladikavkaz, Gelendzhik, Makhachkala, Magas, Mineralnye Vody, Nalchik, Stavropol, and Elista.
The Transport Ministry said it would make a decision on when to resume flights "in the near future."
