Two days remain until May 9. St. Petersburg has no internet. Moscow should get ready

✹ St. Petersburg has been left without mobile internet. In the Leningrad region, mobile internet was shut off overnight because of Ukrainian drones, but internet in St. Petersburg had already stopped working before the air raid alert. The problems continued through the morning and afternoon. For some people, home internet also stopped working. There were difficulties paying for parking.

✹ In some Russian regions, internet service was restricted because of the threat of a UAV attack. On May 7, authorities in Sverdlovsk and Chelyabinsk regions warned about restrictions on communications and mobile internet service.

✹ There were no internet problems in Moscow. But the authorities warned that there will be no internet in the city on May 9. This includes sites and services from the “white list” as well, a list of websites that, according to the authorities’ plan, are supposed to work when the internet is shut down.
