Russia has started having problems delivering humanitarian cargo to the “SMO” because of a gasoline shortage

Volunteers involved in delivering humanitarian cargo for Russian troops to the combat zone have reported difficulties organizing trips because of the fuel crisis, Verstka has noted.

Representatives of the Krasnodar-based foundation “Dobrotvortsy,” for example, named gasoline problems on all highways in the “SMO” zone among the reasons why it has become harder to make deliveries with cargo for the military. “To be more precise, there is simply none in Zaporizhzhia region,” the volunteers said. Because of this, they have started handing over part of the aid to passing cars.

The group “Fires of Sevastopol” also said that trips to the “SMO” zone by car volunteers are now “almost at zero” because of the “difficult situation” on the roads and the lack of gasoline. The “Volunteer Battalion of Karelia” published a post with a similar message, adding that those who still plan to go are facing “increased demand” for deliveries.

The organization “Reliable Rear” in Komi also complained that amid the crisis there is no clear understanding of when it will be possible to make a trip with humanitarian aid. The project noted that the situation with gasoline in the combat zone has “heated up to the limit,” and fuel in canisters is needed for the trip. The volunteers opened a fundraiser for this.
