Ukraine’s government has been dismissed

A total of 258 deputies of the country’s Verkhovna Rada voted for the resignation of Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko and the entire Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Suspilne reports.

“As a year ago, the main challenge for the government will be getting through the winter amid insane Russian attacks. And the Russians wanted us to freeze last year. They did not succeed. To prepare for the next winter, we approved the so-called resilience plans for all regions, and we are implementing them in policy,” Svyrydenko said.

Until a new prime minister is appointed and the Cabinet of Ministers is formed, the government will be temporarily headed by Deputy Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
