Roblox Fined 8 Million Rubles Over “LGBT Propaganda”

Moscow’s Tagansky District Court imposed fines on Roblox’s developer under two administrative reports citing the article on “LGBT propaganda,” Ostorozhno, Novosti and Mediazona report.

According to the judge, in September 2025 Roskomnadzor identified violations connected to a “positive assessment of non-traditional values.” No other details are provided.

🔵In December, Roskomnadzor blocked Roblox in Russia over the “justification of extremism and terrorism,” as well as calls for violence and “LGBT propaganda.”

🔵Later, the company said it was ready to make changes to how the platform operates in Russia in order to have the block lifted.

🔵Journalist Igor Belkin told Dozhd why “terrorism propaganda” in Roblox is Roskomnadzor’s “standard nonsense,” while the problem of pedophilia on the platform does exist.
