Digital Development Ministry to Introduce Fines for State Companies Using Foreign Software and Equipment at “Critical Infrastructure Facilities”
The Digital Development Ministry is preparing amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses that would introduce new fines for violations during the transition to trusted software and hardware systems at critical infrastructure facilities. This was reported by Vedomosti.
According to the publication, the penalties will apply to agencies, state companies, and organizations that do not switch to Russian IT solutions by January 1, 2030.
For violating the deadlines for switching to Russian software or software-and-hardware systems, a fine is planned: from 100,000 to 200,000 rubles for officials and from 300,000 to 700,000 rubles for legal entities.
