Ukraine to Change the Design of the New 2,000-Hryvnia Banknote
In Ukraine, the design of the new 2,000-hryvnia banknote will be changed
The reason was the possible connection between the Bickham Script font used on the banknote and Russia. Its unlicensed Cyrillic version was created by Russian designer Alexandra Gofman back in 2005.
The National Bank of Ukraine presented the new banknote on July 10. It features the Ukrainian poet and dissident Vasyl Stus. The banknote is planned to be put into circulation on September 4, the anniversary of the poet’s death.

Banknote Trips Over the Wrong Font
The new banknote design is changing over the font's possible link to Russia.
The symbols got checked after the layout.
