Gasoline in Krasnoyarsk Krai has dropped sharply in price Possibly because of Putin’s visit
Fuel prices at gas stations in Krasnoyarsk Krai have fallen sharply by more than 20 rubles, correspondents for NGS24 report. According to them, the changes happened on the evening of August 2 at gas stations belonging to the regional chain Krasnoyarsknefteprodukt.
Judging by the photo published by the outlet, the price of AI-92 gasoline is 63 rubles, AI-95 is 67 rubles, and AI-98 is 96 rubles. At the same time, the 2GIS maps still showed the old prices at that moment: 87, 91, and 121 rubles respectively. The changes apparently did not affect diesel fuel.
Users in the Telegram chat “Gasoline Nearby | Krasnoyarsk | Where’s gas?” write that fuel has also become cheaper at stations operated by other chains, including Gazprom Neft, Rosneft, and Lukoil. In addition, lines at gas stations have noticeably decreased. The regional government explained this by the delivery of a new batch of fuel.
Novaya Gazeta Europe links the drop in gasoline prices to a possible visit by Vladimir Putin to Krasnoyarsk. Among other things, this is indicated by traffic restrictions on some streets in the city. Putin’s visit has not been officially confirmed.
Gasoline prices have dropped because of Putin’s visit before as well, Novaya Gazeta Europe notes. For example, at the end of July he came to Irkutsk. On the same day, gasoline prices at local gas stations fell by 11 to 12 rubles.
