Deputy Interior Minister Igor Zubov said this at a meeting of the Federation Council committee on international affairs. According to him, such a system will make it possible to monitor foreigners' movements around the country.

"Everyone is interested in what will happen in the future, where we are headed. Every migrant, upon registration, who comes here, especially for work or for a long time, will be required to purchase a phone. This phone will contain their electronic profile. And we will know the location of every migrant. He will not be able to move from one locality to another uncontrolled, to change his place of stay. This will be the foundation," he noted.
