Putin used a Molotov quote. But not the whole thing

The famous phrase by Vyacheslav Molotov from 1941, which became one of the symbols of the Great Patriotic War, originally sounded like this:

Our cause is just, the enemy will be defeated, victory will be ours!

Putin did not say the whole thing at the Victory Parade:

I am certain that our cause is just. We are together, Putin said

Recall that on the eve of May 9, the Kremlin repeatedly threatened Ukraine with consequences if it tried to disrupt the parade. Donald Trump, after speaking with Putin, announced a three-day ceasefire between Moscow and Kyiv, and Zelensky issued a decree allowing the parade to be held within the boundaries of Red Square. The parade itself is being held for the first time without military equipment taking part, and internet access has been completely shut down in central Moscow.

At the parade, Putin kept only the opening of Molotov's line.

The victory part did not make it.
