Since 2022, security forces have seized 1.8 trillion rubles in assets from officials and deputies
This follows from calculations by Novaya Gazeta Europe.
Altogether during this time, 908 officials, deputies, security officers, and judges became defendants in 453 cases involving the seizure of businesses and personal property.
In 2022–2023, 196 billion and 168 billion rubles were seized from them respectively; in 2024, that amount was 28% lower. In 2025, the figure reached 951 billion rubles, and in the first half of 2026, property and money worth 366 billion rubles were confiscated from deputies and officials.
