Migrants moving to Russia will be forced to buy a phone so the Interior Ministry can "know the location" of each of them and they cannot travel around the country "uncontrolled"

This was stated by Deputy Interior Minister Igor Zubov at a meeting of the Federation Council's committee on international affairs, RBC reports.

"Everyone is interested in what will happen in the future, where we are heading. Every migrant upon registration who arrives here, especially for work or for a long stay, will be required to purchase a phone. This phone will contain their electronic profile. And we will know the location of every migrant. They will not be able to move from one locality to another uncontrolled, to change their place of stay. This will be the foundation," he noted.
