Russian citizens will likely no longer be able to enter Montenegro visa-free starting October 1 — Dan

The harmonization of Montenegrin legislation with the EU will require the local authorities to align their visa policy with the European Union by the end of 2027, which will mean introducing visas for entry into Montenegro for citizens of Russia, Belarus, Turkey, China, and Middle Eastern countries.

According to reports by the major Montenegrin outlet Dan, the Montenegrin government may in the very near future decide to introduce a visa regime for Russian and Belarusian citizens, which will most likely take effect on October 1.

Dan also claims that Montenegro plans to issue visas with the help of the international agency VFS Global.
