The head of Popcorn Books and Individuum testified against Eksmo CEO in the case over sales of “LGBT literature”

The Zamoskvoretsky Court of Moscow has begun hearing the case of Dmitry Protopopov, reports Mediazona.

According to the prosecution, after the ban on the non-existent “LGBT movement,” Protopopov and other defendants in the case decided to sell off the remaining “banned” books, allegedly in order to draw children into the “movement.”

Protopopov said that, in order to achieve the financial targets demanded by Eksmo CEO Yevgeny Kapiyev, the books began to be sold “using conspiracy methods.”

According to Protopopov, both Eksmo and Individuum Print had “gray” cash book-sales schemes even before the publishers were merged, which were later, he claims, used to sell LGBT literature.

🔵Earlier, other defendants in the case, Pavel Ivanov and Artyom Vakhlyaev, were given four-year suspended sentences; they admitted guilt.

Vakhlyaev testified against the “accomplices in the scheme” to sell “LGBT literature,” and Ivanov also testified against other employees of Popcorn Books, Individuum, and Eksmo.
