The state messenger Max can now no longer be downloaded from either the App Store or Google Play.

Today Google fulfilled one of the key demands of our campaign to defend the internet by removing Max from the app store. Earlier, the messenger had already been removed from the App Store.

This week, the European Union imposed sanctions on VK, the legal entity behind Max, and on participants in the internet censorship system, people and companies from our sanctions list.
