Zelensky did not send messages to Putin through the Slovak prime minister, Putin aide says

Yury Ushakov told journalists this, TASS reports.

"Zelensky did not send any messages through Fico," he noted.

Ushakov added that at the same time Robert Fico informed Vladimir Putin and the Russian delegation that he had indeed met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky a few days ago.

"Zelensky gave him his assessments of the current situation in the Russian-Ukrainian context," Ushakov said.

The meeting between Putin and Fico has ended; it lasted about two hours.
