Vladimir Putin’s approval rating is falling at a record pace

In one week, Putin’s job approval rating fell by five percentage points, to 66%, according to FOM. This is the steepest drop since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

According to FOM, the level of trust in the president also declined, from 69 to 67%. FOM and VTsIOM began recording an overall decline in Putin’s ratings in the spring of 2026.

💜Earlier, Verstka explained how the Kremlin assesses public sentiment under conditions of war and repression. People dissatisfied with the situation are often afraid to give honest answers, yet the president’s ratings continue to decline.
