Justice Ministry designates the rights movement Golos an “undesirable” organization
The Justice Ministry has designated the human rights movement Golos an “undesirable” organization.
Also added to the list of “undesirable” organizations were the Arctic Centre at the University of Northern Iowa, the Child Evangelism Fellowship (USA), the Swiss Academic Society for East European Studies (Switzerland), and the Karelian Educational Society (Finland).
In 2021, the Golos movement for the protection of voters’ rights was designated a “foreign agent” because of a transferred 200 rubles from a citizen of Armenia with a male first name. Last year, the organization ceased its activities.
One Less Voice on the List
Golos became undesirable after foreign-agent status and closure.
Elections get easier when only the list matters.
