In Volgograd, cops detained local residents who recorded a video appeal to Bastrykin over high gasoline prices.

As lawyer Albert Karamzinovsky told Ostorozhno, Novosti, yesterday five Volgograd residents gathered not far from a gas station on Rokossovsky Street and recorded a video appeal. Soon police officers arrived at the station and detained all five for an unauthorized rally.

Four were later released, while one of them, Alexey Sevastyanov, was kept at the station overnight. Today he was given five days of arrest for disobeying the police.

Bastrykin heard them and took it under personal control.
