Removing VK apps from Google Play is not yet a catastrophe for the company. But there are ways to hurt it even more

Google has removed all apps belonging to companies in the VK holding from its Google Play store. Apparently, this decision is connected to the European Union sanctions introduced at the beginning of the week.

By itself, removing the apps will not do much harm to VK. It can distribute its services through alternative Android stores or simply as files. Nevertheless, the company has taken emergency measures to protect itself at least somewhat from other possible restrictions.
