Four hellish years should have brought the world to its senses and explained to it that today there is no sin more terrible than pompous posturing.

And yet the EU continues to act coy. With its little finger cocked, the European Union peers through a pink lorgnette at the winner of the Bulgarian elections and sighs about future problems, because the Bulgarian has been exposed as having ties to the Kremlin.

Bulgaria has held another parliamentary election. According to preliminary data, Rumen Radev and his Progressive Bulgaria party won. Several years ago, he had already served as head of state. His return is being met with skepticism in Europe: some have already called Radev “Moscow’s Trojan horse,” while others consider him an “analog” of Orban.”

The European Union is indulging in benevolent dreams. It hopes that the latest dwarf will not be as brazen as Orban and will refrain from directly working for the Russian Reich.

The paradox is that in four years of war, no mechanism has been created that would make it possible to instantly throw out of the EU any country caught sympathizing with russia.

Any people, when voting, would inevitably think about what electing a “friend of Moscow” would cost them.
