Since the launch of the project in January 2024, "I Want to Find" has received 211,755 requests to search for missing Russian army servicemen. It is important to note that the real number of missing servicemen in the Russian Armed Forces is significantly higher, since not everyone knows about the project and asks for help.

During the operation of the "I Want to Find" project, it has been possible to establish the fate of 4,323 missing Russian servicemen:

❗️ 4,146 people were found alive among prisoners of war;

❗️ of them, 2,696 have already been exchanged and returned to Russia;

❗️ 177 people were found among the bodies and remains of the dead.

Over the month, the number of Russian servicemen in Ukrainian captivity whom relatives located through the "I Want to Find" project increased by 127 people. Overall, in July, hundreds of new Russian Armed Forces servicemen ended up in Ukrainian captivity.

At the same time, in July of this year, Russia refused to carry out a prisoner exchange and did not return a single one of its servicemen home.

In addition to the growing number of prisoners of war, the number of dead and missing Russian Armed Forces servicemen is also increasing. Thus, in 2024, the project received 52,044 requests. In 2025, the number of appeals doubled and amounted to 108,195 requests to search for the missing.

In the first 7 months of 2026, their number exceeded 50,000. It can be stated that this year the number of missing in the Russian army is not decreasing compared with last year: Russian servicemen continue to go missing in enormous numbers.

According to data from the "I Want to Return" project, almost 50,000 dead Russian Armed Forces servicemen were found by search teams from June to October 2025. These are only those whose bodies and remains were evacuated and transferred to the 522nd Center in Rostov. The real number of dead in the ranks of the Russian armed forces is likely many times higher.
