Foreign citizens recruited by Russia for the war against Ukraine continue to surrender en masse.

21-year-old Yemeni Osama Al-Garadi ("Ronaldo") signed a contract with the Russian Armed Forces together with his father. Recruiters promised them large payments and a high salary. After brief training, Osama was sent near Dobropillia, where for more than a month he watched Russian soldiers die in batches. His father was also killed, and of all the promised money Osama received only about $400.

24-year-old Bangladeshi citizen Islam Imri Tugidu ("Shugak") came to Moscow to study, but because of problems with his documents he was detained by police. Instead of deportation, he was taken to a military training ground, "trained" in a week, and sent to the front. During his first deployment, he surrendered without resistance to fighters of the 82nd Brigade of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He also did not receive the promised payments.

20-year-old Burundian resident Nduvimana Elashima ("Dogo") was recruited under the pretext of road construction work. After arriving in Russia, his documents were taken away and he was told that he would now fight against Ukraine. During his first combat deployment, part of the group was killed, and Nduvimana himself, after several days of wandering, surrendered.

It is telling that all the assault troops were branded with tattoos bearing personal numbers, as the Nazis did in concentration camps. For the Russian system, they are not people but contract soldiers with a single purpose: to go into assaults. The attitude toward them is соответствующее.
