Russia plans to deploy a North Korean missile unit in the Voronezh region — Reuters

Russia is planning to deploy a missile unit made up of North Korean military personnel in the Voronezh region, Reuters writes citing Andriy Chernyak, a representative of Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate.

Ninety North Korean personnel will be incorporated into the 112th Missile Brigade. According to Chernyak, this unit could receive up to 120 North Korean ballistic missiles and six launchers for strikes on Ukraine. The exact number of missiles will be discussed in negotiations next month.

According to Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, the DPRK launchers would become a legitimate target if Russia deploys them for strikes on Ukraine:

First of all, these launchers, if they are deployed, must be destroyed. They immediately become a legitimate military target, and accordingly, a response from our military will follow.

According to Volodymyr Zelensky, at the end of July Russia used North Korean ballistic missiles to strike Ukraine for the first time in a long while. As a result of the strike on Radushne near Kryvyi Rih, a family with many children was killed.
