Sobyanin: if Russia’s economy is turned toward war, it could “kill the country altogether”
Moscow Mayor said this in an interview with TASS.
“We constantly hear talk that the entire economy must be mobilized, turned toward war, and so on. But the modern economy is structured differently. If there is no economy of peaceful life itself, there will be no taxes, there will be no household income, the political situation will be completely different, and then we will not achieve success in the war either. And to kill life, to kill a normal economy, is to kill the country altogether. Therefore these are unnecessary, worthless conversations coming from people who do not understand anything about how a modern economy and a modern war are conducted,” Sergei Sobyanin noted.
