Germany and Ukraine have agreed on the joint production of drones with a flight range of up to 1,500 kilometers
This was announced by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, who arrived in Kyiv today on an unannounced visit, Tagesspiegel reports.
According to Pistorius, in the field of unmanned systems Germany is focusing on joint ventures between German and Ukrainian companies.
This concerns "in particular the joint development and production of drones of various ranges, from less than one hundred kilometers to 1,500 kilometers," he added.
During his visit to Ukraine, Pistorius held a meeting with Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.
The ministers signed a letter of intent to launch Brave Germany, a joint program for developing defense technologies and supporting innovative startups, Ukrinform reports.
