At Sheremetyevo, two women missed their flight and tried to catch up with the plane by running onto the tarmac. They failed and were detained.

The incident took place on July 25. As Sheremetyevo’s press service said, the passengers had passed all pre-flight security checkpoints and were in the sterile zone before boarding: “The passengers violated security requirements and unlawfully entered an area subject to additional restricted-access rules.”

After being detained, the women were handed over to FSB officers. A press release, without giving details, said the officers are “taking lawful response measures” against the women.
