The beaches of Gelendzhik were closed because of a UAV threat, for the first time since a drone fell onto a beach, killing seven people

This was reported by the city’s head, Alexei Bogodistov.

"Due to the danger of a UAV attack and air defense activity, all beaches in Gelendzhik, and in the Kabardinsky and Divnomorsky rural districts, are closed. Stay calm and remember that people’s safety comes first," he said.

Other statements by Bogodistov indicate that beaches in the city are usually not closed in the event of a drone threat; people are simply advised to leave them.
