Rostov authorities will carry out raids and weld shut gates in unsafe houses where Roma live

The reason was complaints from local residents about nighttime disturbances by Roma. The latest of them took place on the night of July 29. Then the head of the family, who was intoxicated, provoked a quarrel with his wife. Defending his mother, their son grabbed a plastic pipe, ran outside, and began shouting insults at his father. After the incident, representatives of the Roma community were summoned to the city administration.

City Hall said they have already carried out two raids and welded shut the doors in one of the houses slated for demolition that had previously been occupied by Roma. It is noted that they had previously already been driven out of the vacated buildings, but the Roma returned again.
