Yabloko is suing deputy Zhuravlyov, who earlier demanded the party be removed from the elections

Yabloko commented on the news that deputy Alexey Zhuravlyov filed a statement of claim with the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation seeking to remove the party from the State Duma elections:

The Yabloko party has reviewed the video recording of the speech by State Duma deputy from the LDPR, Alexey Zhuravlyov, outside the Supreme Court building.

The speech contains defamatory statements directed at the Yabloko party. A lawsuit to defend the party’s business reputation will be filed in court today.

The party has not yet received Zhuravlyov’s lawsuit seeking Yabloko’s removal from the election of State Duma deputies. The party’s position on the substance of the claims will be announced after it has reviewed the lawsuit.

🔵Earlier today, Alexey Zhuravlyov called the party “national traitors who are close to Western values.” He also accused them of numerous violations, including ones related to financing.
