At Roskomnadzor’s request, VKontakte removed a mutual-aid section for people with diabetes

The mutual-aid section was removed from the community for people with diabetes mellitus “Nyura Sharikova. Diabetes Mellitus,” which has more than 32,000 members.

In this section, people could donate or exchange test strips for measuring blood sugar levels, blood glucose meters, and insulin needles free of charge. In addition, it was possible to find insulin or continuous glucose monitoring systems there.

Around 5.5 million people with diabetes mellitus live in Russia, but this is incomplete statistics: according to specialists, up to half of cases go undetected. People with diabetes in Russia complain about disruptions in the supply of medicines.
